Keep yourself safe
Never put your SIN, passport, work permit details, date of birth or a photo on a resume. City and province are enough. An employer only needs those documents after hiring.
The plain-text test
Before you submit anywhere, copy your whole resume and paste it into Notepad, or TextEdit in plain-text mode. If it reads cleanly, top to bottom and in order, an ATS will very likely read it the same way.
