Who this agreement is with

These terms are an agreement between you and Black Catalyst Network Inc. ("BCN", "we"). By creating an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older.
• Give true information about yourself.
• Keep one account only.
• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

What your results are, and aren't

Your results are automated estimates. They're not a promise of a job, an interview or a salary.

Nothing in the app is immigration, legal or financial advice. For those, speak to a licensed professional.

Job postings

Job postings come from employers BCN has checked, but BCN isn't the employer. Confirm the role with the employer before you apply.

Candidates never pay

The app is free, and candidates never pay for a job. If anyone asks you for money for a job using BCN's name, it's a scam. Please report it to info@blackcatalystnetwork.ca.

Talent Pool

The Talent Pool is optional. We ask you about each role separately, and nothing is shared with an employer unless you say yes to that role. We don't guarantee any matches or introductions. You can leave at any time.

Community directory

Community referrals, no vouching, no guarantees.

If you use the directory:

• Be respectful.
• No spam, sales pitches or paid "job offers".
• Don't collect other members' information.
• Don't pretend to be someone else.

BCN may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your resume

You keep ownership of your resume. You give BCN permission to process it so the app can work for you, for example to find your skills and produce your report.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. BCN may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Limits on our responsibility

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, BCN isn't responsible for:

• decisions you make based on your results;
• the actions of employers or other members;
• indirect losses.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
